Holocaust survivors and their families gathered Sept. 16 at Zion Memorial Park in Bedford Heights for the 57th year to remember the 6 million Jewish men, women and children who perished by the hands of the Nazis.

The Jewish Federation of Cleveland will host its annual ‘Super Sunday’ event, Jewish Cleveland’s single largest one-day give-a-thon of the year, on Sunday, October 14. Funds raised will benefit the Campaign for Jewish Needs, which is the Federation’s annual fundraising campaign that serves Jewish Cleveland and the global community.

Families share time together in many ways. When the children are of school age, time is spent at meals, childrens’ activities, birthdays and the activity of simply living together. As children grow older, families come together for vacations, graduations, special anniversaries and other important life events.

The Jewish Federation of Cleveland is deeply disappointed that the City Club of Cleveland is hosting widely discredited historian Ilan Pappe on September 14th and have made our concerns known to City Club leadership.

Local law enforcement and security specialists reviewed safety practices, discussed possible threats and outlined emergency notification options during the Jewish Federation of Cleveland’s annual High Holy Days security meeting Aug. 28.

When the Jewish Federation of Cleveland kicks off its 2019 Campaign for Jewish Needs next week, the launch event will feature new components aimed at amplifying this year’s theme, the impact of together.

Each year, Ohioans are sent to jail for months, sometimes years, before their cases are resolved. These individuals frequently live in squalid living conditions and under a constant threat of violence - while presumed innocent - simply because they cannot afford to pay a bail bondsman.
