CPO / Senior Vice President

The Chief People Officer / Senior Vice President of the Mandel Leadership Excellence Center (CPO) is the Federation’s senior leader responsible for aligning people with purpose. As a core member of the Executive Team, the CPO drives the Federation’s people strategy—developing strong teams, empowering inclusive leadership, and ensuring that policies, practices, and culture reflect the organization’s Jewish values and communal mission.

Reporting to the President, this executive provides strategic vision and operational leadership for human resources, talent strategy, leadership and professional development, organizational culture, and workforce planning. The CPO ensures the Federation attracts, develops, and retains exceptional professionals and lay leaders; fosters an inclusive, engaged, and values-driven workplace; and maintains strong, compliant, and forward-looking HR practices. The CPO plays a critical role stewarding a culture where people in both lay leadership and professional roles are empowered to thrive and contribute meaningfully to the Federation’s impact.

Deputy Director, Training

Full-time

The Deputy Director, Training will be responsible for the development and scheduling of all community training programs for Jewish Schools, synagogues, and agencies and will also provide consultation and training to the Synagogues participating in the volunteer security initiative, which includes occasional weeknight and weekend in-service training. The Deputy Director, Training will assist in the development and on-going training of JFC Security Officers and Federation Staff. At the request of the Director of Community-Wide Security, the Deputy Director, Training will assist in conducting vulnerability assessments for Jewish schools, synagogues, and agencies, as needed. The Deputy Director, Training is responsible for implementing program goals and objectives, developing current and pertinent training methods, while performing a variety of administrative, professional, and technical tasks assigned to that area of responsibility.

Director, International Experiences

Full-time

The Director, International Experiences, oversees Jewish engagement opportunities for audiences 18-26, through local and international travel programs, primarily focused on Israel. Through supervision of the International Experiences Associate, the Director creates strategies to increase participation and ensure the successful facilitation of the entire International Experience portfolio, including Taglit Birthright Israel, Birthright Israel Onward, MASA programs, and other international programs in Israel and elsewhere to ensure Jewish college+ students are growing participation in international Jewish experiences.

This position reports to the VP, International Operations.

Major Gifts Development Officer

Full-time

The Jewish Federation of Cleveland seeks a Major Gifts Development Officer to join its dynamic development team. This position is responsible for generating new and increased gifts that support the Federation and its programs, matching the philanthropic interests of identified donors with the mission and goals of Federation. These gifts, ranging from five to seven figures, will support annual and supplemental campaigns, as well as legacy giving initiatives. The officer will play a pivotal role in advancing the Federation’s mission by developing meaningful relationships with donors and fostering sustained engagement.

Managing Director, Enterprise Applications

Full-time

The Managing Director, Enterprise Applications is a key partner to the CIO in defining and executing the organization’s technology strategy and guiding the on-going evolution of our business systems. The Managing Director is expected to work collaboratively with process / business owners, vendors, partners, leadership, and information technology staff to help ensure the enterprise applications align with the organizational vision, meet business needs, and are prioritized and implemented successfully.

This position reports to the Chief Information Officer.

PJ Library Parent Connector

Part-time
(20 hours per month)

A successful PJ Library Parent Connector is warm, compassionate, and genuinely interested in getting to know new families. Their personal knowledge, experiences, and involvement in the Jewish community allow them to connect families to additional local program opportunities. A connector enthusiastically leads creative programs in Cleveland, tailoring to the interests of families.

Security Business Manager, JFC Security, LLC

Full-time

The Security Business Manager for JFC Security plays a dual role in managing JFC Security’s finance and human resources functions, ensuring both operations are aligned with strategic business goals. This position requires a hands-on professional who can operate both strategically and tactically, supporting organizational growth, workforce planning, and financial health.

Security Officer

Full-time

JFC Security, LLC is looking for a dedicated and caring individual to be part of a growing, community-based security team. In this role, the Security Officer will work to provide a safe environment that is secure from outside threats for social service agencies, synagogues, schools and pre-schools within the Greater Cleveland Jewish Community. The Security Officer is expected to anticipate potential problems and respond to disturbances, prohibited conduct, and emergencies. These duties are performed either while assigned to a Mobile Patrol/Foot Patrol Unit or to a stationary post. This position reports to the Security Officer Supervisor for JFC Security, LLC.

Senior Accountant

Full-time

The Senior Accountant is responsible for the accounting of the daily activity and prepares interim and annual financial reports for endowment funds, and JFC Security LLC, as well as assists in the daily operation and internal control of the accounting department.

Senior Associate, Community Planning

As Senior Associate, Community Planning & Allocations (CP&A), you will help shape the future of Jewish Cleveland by turning research into real community impact.
