JFC seeks an innovative, dynamic, and experienced senior professional with a healthy competitive and entrepreneurial spirit to lead our financial resource development team. Reporting directly to the President, the Chief Development Officer (CDO) will bring new approaches and strategies that complement our strong philanthropic foundation. The CDO will help JFC raise its competitive position overall with existing donors; design and drive initiatives that enable JFC to effectively and efficiently tap into new segments of the donor marketplace; and will optimize our campaign efforts year-round – including, but not limited to, a thoughtful donor appreciation/‘thank you’ strategy – in order to maximize our success during the solicitation time period. The CDO will work in partnership with the President and Board of Trustees and is an integral member of the organization’s senior executive leadership team.
The Jewish Federation of Cleveland is seeking a highly creative, technically skilled designer to be part of the Marketing & Communications Department. This position will involve layout and design work for mostly digital projects, but will involve some print work as well. The ideal candidate will have a multi-disciplinary approach to web design, with a strong sense for what makes both a good online experience and a good print layout, and a habit of looking at the wider context in which their work exists.
The Digital Designer will work closely with the Marketing & Communications team to expand and evolve existing Federation brand identity, update and enhance digital strategy and online presence, and ensure the Federation’s visual voice is consistent and engaging to target audiences. The position reports to the Lead Designer.
The Lead Data Analyst reports to the Chief Information Officer and works as an integral member of the Federation’s IT and data teams. The Lead Data Analyst will support the organization’s growing data analysis and data visualization efforts, expanding our existing Business Intelligence (BI) and data mining capabilities, and continuing to strengthen the organizational capacity to make data-driven decisions. The Data Analyst will manage and support projects and partnerships across the organization to identify and address existing and new data analysis and data modeling needs.
The Public Education Initiative (PEI) Fellowship is a 10 month fellowship for a recent college graduate with an interest in a career in education, leadership, or nonprofit management. The PEI Fellow is responsible for assisting the PEI Site Coordinator in the oversight of the Jewish Federation of Cleveland’s Public Education Initiative. The Public Education Initiative is a one-on-one literacy enrichment program through which volunteer tutors meet with students at eight sites within the Cleveland Metropolitan School District (for more information click here). The PEI Fellow will assist in managing the needs of the eight sites; help with recruitment and retention of volunteers; serve as a resource for educational techniques and tools, and tutor students. The Fellow may have some involvement with other Federation departments as related to their work with public education and literacy-based activities in the city of Cleveland. This position is a part time (up to 20 hours per week), academic year assignment; reliable transportation is required. The PEI fellow will report to the Director of the Public Education Initiative and the PEI Site Coordinator.
Under the supervision of the Director of the Public Education Initiative, the Site Coordinator assists in the implementation of the Public Education Initiative, a volunteer tutoring program of the Jewish Federation of Cleveland (Federation). The Site Coordinator supports all efforts to recruit, train and manage volunteers as tutors at all partner school sites within the Cleveland Metropolitan School District (CMSD). The Site Coordinator supervises the PEI Fellow on a day to day basis, in partnership with the Director. In addition, the Site Coordinator helps to support other efforts to enhance school climate in order to enrich the ongoing partnership between the Federation and the CMSD. The Site Coordinator is a position with the vast majority of time spent at the program’s school sites.
JFC Security, LLC is looking for a dedicated and caring individual to be part of a growing, community-based security team. In this role, the Security Guard will work to provide a safe environment that is secure from outside threats for social service agencies, synagogues, schools and pre-schools within the Greater Cleveland Jewish Community. The Security Guard is expected to anticipate potential problems and respond to disturbances, prohibited conduct, and emergencies. These duties are performed either while assigned to a Mobile Patrol/Foot Patrol Unit or to a stationary post. This position reports to the Security Guard Supervisor for JFC Security, LLC.

The Security Technology Manager is responsible for the oversight, project execution, and ongoing management of the physical security technology of the Jewish Federation of Cleveland. The Manager will provide project management, coordination of team members and third-party vendors, and oversight of requirement gathering, vendor selection, installation, maintenance, enhancement, optimization, and documentation of the security technology. The Manager will work directly with the Federation Security team to manage projects and issue resolution to completion. The position reports to Director, IT Operations. Preferred candidates are excellent communicators and problem-solvers, continuous learners, possess a strong work ethic, and have experience implementing and managing complex technology projects and systems.
