Our Biggest 'Big Event' Ever! 400+ Young Leaders Celebrate at YLD's Signature Fundraising Event of the Year.
Thank you #JewishCleveland for an awesome Saturday night at The Big Event, YLD's signature fundraising event of the year! 400+ young adults celebrated our community and our Campaign with drinks, eats, and live music, plus a personal and powerful story from Event Co-Chair, Sam Krichevsky.
When his sister was just six years old, his parents made the decision to flee communist Russia. It was our Federation system that helped his family get a fresh start, here in the United States. Now, he's paying it forward by helping others.
"It is of utmost importance for our generation to be proactively engaged and connected as future leaders," said Sam, who asked guests to stand up if their lives have been touched by the Federation through the Campaign for Jewish Needs.
Stand up if you went on an organized trip to Israel. Stand up if you went to Jewish day school or have a child in Jewish day school. Stand up if you have a grandparent at Menorah Park or Montefiore. By the end, we were all standing up. Shoulder to shoulder. United. This is our community and our Campaign. And when we work together, none of us are alone. Not Sam's family, not our families.
