Young Families: Meet the Kerteszes

Daryl and Kerry Kertesz of University Heights are so proud to be a young family in Jewish Cleveland. They love spending time with their two daughters, whether it’s visiting a new museum exhibit or supporting the community at Super Sunday. Check out what they had to say:
Q – How do you incorporate PJ Library in your home?
We love PJ library. Recently, we received the tree decal kit and our oldest daughter, Lily, couldn’t wait to put it up on the window. I told her PJ Library sent the tree because of Tu B’Shevat; we talked about what she learned in school regarding the holiday. With the books we receive from PJ Library, we are able to relate the things she learns in school to the projects and books we receive in the mail. The PJ Library books are a great way to support Jewish learning at home - in a fun way. They are also just the right length for a story at bedtime.
Q – What is your favorite thing to do as a family?
As a family, we love to try new restaurants and take advantage of the museums in Cleveland. We’re able to teach our daughters about the history of the city and the world. Cleveland provides us that chance to spend time as a family.
Q – What do you enjoy about being Jewish in Cleveland?
Being Jewish in Cleveland is great because we have so many options, from where to send our children to school or camp to what synagogue to attend. It is truly amazing to have such a wide variety of community programs and events to pick from each week, both for kids and adults.
