What a great experience at the Cleveland Kids’ Book Bank through the Federation’s YLDay of Caring! Earlier this week, 30 Young Leadership Division (YLD) volunteers worked with the Book Bank to sort and package books that will end up in the hands of underprivileged children. The Book Bank has tens of thousands of books that need to be placed in over 350 partner organizations (including the Federation’s Public Education Initiative) and Little Free Libraries throughout Cleveland.
I have a 20-month-old child who enjoys books every day and I am so happy YLD was able to connect me with the Cleveland Kids’ Book Bank to help provide that experience for other children in our community.
