ABOUT THE EVENT:
Join us for an inside look at the White House during the presidency of Jimmy Carter with author Stuart Eizenstat. His book, President Carter: The White House Years details the Middle East Peace Process with interviews form participants from the US, Israel, and Egypt. Eizenstat profiles Rabin, Begin, Sadat, and Carter, and analyzes the dramatic change in Israeli politics ushered in by Begin's 1977 election. Through exploration of the Cold War and the Soviet Union, Eizenstat discusses the White House's effect on the Soviet Jewish Movement, as well as the Iranian Revolution and the Embassy hostage crisis.
