Meet Our 2016 Summer Interns

The Jewish Federation of Cleveland’s 2016 Summer Interns are here! Get to know this impressive group of college students who will be spending their summer working with Team Federation.
Josh Friedman
Josh is our IT intern, reporting to Dan Strom, Managing Director of Information Technology. He is a rising junior at the University of Pittsburgh (Pitt), working towards a double major in Finance and Business Information Systems. He is on the investing committee of TAMID Beta at Pitt, and has participated in a startup competition called The Randall Family Big Idea Competition. In his free time he enjoys running and exercising and loves to go to Pitt football and basketball games with his friends. Next fall, he will be teaching Hebrew courses at a local synagogue in Pittsburgh.
Sam Garson
Sam is our Fiscal intern, reporting to Sheila Allenick, Assistant Vice President of Fiscal Operations. He is a rising junior at Miami University where he is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance. In Miami, Sam is involved with Habitat for Humanity and serves as the recruitment chair for his fraternity, Sigma Phi Epsilon. Previously, Sam has spent his summers as a camp counselor at an overnight camp located in Freedom, New Hampshire. Sam enjoys spending time with his family and friends as well as playing basketball and golf.
Seth Klein
Seth is our Marketing intern, reporting to Rebecca Stolarsky, Communications and PR Manager. Seth is a Psychology and Interactive Media Studies double major with a focus on digital and social media marketing at Miami University. He is very involved in the music programs on campus, including the Marching Band, Pep Band, Steel Drum Band, and the music service Greek organization, Tau Beta Sigma. In the past Seth has worked for The Temple Tifereth Israel as a madrich (supervisor) and office assistant, as well as a camp counselor at both Camp Wise and The Playmakers Performing Arts Camp.
Zach Moses
Zach is our International, Community, and Government Relations Intern, reporting to Jessica Cohen, Managing Director of Community Relations. Zach is a rising junior at the University of Maryland (UMD), majoring in Criminology and Criminal Justice. At UMD he is part of the Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity, where he serves on the Recruitment Committee. He is also the Social Media Chair, AEPiWear Chair, and TerpThon Chair (TerpThon is a student-run organization at UMD that raises funds and awareness for the kids at Children's National Health System, our local Children's Miracle Network hospital). Zach previously was a three-sport varsity athlete and interned for Josh Mandel’s senate campaign.
Nadav Pecha
Nadav is our Anti-BDS intern, reporting to Jessica Cohen, Managing Director of Community Relations. Nadav is a rising senior at The Ohio State University, majoring in Public Affairs, with a specialization in urban policy and management. Previously, Nadav has worked as an intern for the Mental Health and Addiction Advocacy Coalition, where he helped improve behavioral health support in Ohio. He has also served as President of Buckeyes for Israel, and helped lead the campaign that defeated an anti-Israel divestment resolution introduced in the Undergraduate Student Government. Nadav has also been an active member of the Latino Students Association, and a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity.
Raquel Rosenberg
Raquel is our Showcase Cleveland intern, reporting to Rebecca Stolarsky, Communications and PR Manager. Raquel is a rising junior at Barnard College, Columbia University. She is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. At Columbia she is a member of the sorority Sigma Delta Tau, secretary of a dance group, Raw Elementz, and a member of the TAMID chapter at Columbia University. She is currently starting a new board at Hillel called Jewish Greek Counsel that will help foster a community for Jewish students within Greek life.
