The High Holy Days can be a particularly difficult time for those who have recently lost a loved one.
The Jewish Federation of Cleveland hosted a virtual panel discussion on mourning loved ones who have passed away since March and how our Jewish rituals have had to change during COVID-19. The talk was moderated by Jeanne Tobin and Peter Waxman, co-chairs, Mourners Task Force.
Panelists include:
- Bart Bookatz, manager, Berkowitz-Kumin-Bookatz Memorial Chapel
- Rabbi Akiva Feinstein, director of spiritual care and hospice chaplain, Montefiore
- Dr. David Rosenberg, director of UH Ahuja Lung Center and Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine, University Hospitals
- Cantor Sarah Sager, cantor laureate, Anshe Chesed Fairmount Temple
