WATCH: Women IN Philanthropy Panel Discussion on Crip Camp

Women IN Philanthropy recently hosted a panel discussion on the award-winning film Crip Camp, which is currently available on Netflix.

Joined by the documentary’s writers, directors, and producers, they spoke about the movie, the American Disabilities Act, and how our Cleveland Jewish community is helping to continue this important work.

Moderated by Susan R. Borison, the panelists included:

Jim LeBrecht, featured in the film, director, writer, and producer
Sara Bolder, producer
Nicole Newnham, director and producer

Plus, JFSA’s Horvitz YouthAbility program shared a local perspective on how the disability rights movement has affected their lives and how they continue to be advocates in our community.

About CRIP CAMP:
The film follows the lives of teens with disabilities who attended summer camp in the early 1970s and their subsequent advocacy work for the disability rights movement.
