This month, we're celebrating Sukkot with a nature walk for young families, enjoying our latest Roe Green Gallery exhibition with artwork by Israeli glass artist Dafna Kaffeman, a chance to see the world-renowned Israel Philharmonic, and more.


October 9
PJ Sukkot Nature Walk

Young families are invited to celebrate Sukkot, a festival for giving thanks, with PJ Library with a nature walk! We will explore and collect natural treasures to make decorations for your home or sukkah (temporary shelter).

Volunteer for the 2023 Campaign for Jewish Needs

Support the 2023 Campaign by making phone calls, sending texts and emails, and connecting with prospects via social media. We'll work together, offer tips and resources, and motivate one another to achieve Campaign success.

Ben-Gurion Society* Dinner

Connect with fellow BGS Donors and Federation leadership over dinner and drinks. Mix, mingle, and celebrate the 2023 Campaign for Jewish Needs. Attendees will also have the opportunity to hear from Daniel N. Zelman, Jewish Federation of Cleveland board chair, Beth Wain Brandon, general Campaign chair, and Erika B. Rudin-Luria, president.

Gallery Open House: "If You Thirst for a Homeland"

See Israeli glass artist Dafna Kaffeman's work on display, which consists of several series of works from different periods of her career, as early as 2006 to newly made in 2021. In her Tel Aviv studio, she creates flame-work glass plants and insects, a process that she said can take months, and often combines them with text from literature or from written or spoken media printed or embroidered on soft, white fabric. Coming this November! 
Israel Philharmonic to Perform in Cleveland on November 12

The Federation will kick off the community’s “Israel at 75” celebration series with a performance by the Israel Philharmonic on November 12, 2022 at the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Concert Hall - Severance Music Center. The Israel Philharmonic has performed in Cleveland only twice before – most recently in 2015.
