Tags: Israel, Teens, Young Adults, Women, Family, Overseas

Meet the Israeli teens who join us in Cleveland for one year to teach our community about Israeli life and culture. The Shin Shins (Israeli emissaries) are young adults who just graduated high school and have come to volunteer in our community prior to their service in the Israeli Army. They are excited to represent Israel in Cleveland and invite you to reach out especially if you have a teenager at home – whether it’s joining your family for a Shabbat dinner or grabbing a cup of coffee – they are excited to make a personal connection with you! They will be volunteering with congregations and various teen programs in Cleveland so we hope they meet your family.

Remembering Mort November

We remember philanthropist Mort November, who passed away on July 12, 2015, leaving a legacy our community will always cherish. Mort understood the importance of Jewish journeys for Cleveland – even for the community's youngest members. Thanks to Mort, and his wife Iris November, in 2012 Cleveland became the very first of 180 communities across the country to endow its PJ Library® program with the Jewish Federation of Cleveland.
