The Jewish Federation of Cleveland is launching the 2024 Campaign for Jewish Needs on Sunday, September 10 with a Super Sunday Kickoff event for the entire community! The Campaign for Jewish Needs is the Cleveland Jewish community’s annual fundraising campaign that provides the critical dollars necessary to help keep our diverse, local community safe, strong, and welcoming, as well as serve the needs of the global Jewish community.

“The strength of our community comes from the generous support of Jewish Clevelanders, and Super Sunday is a day that demonstrates and celebrates all that makes Cleveland so special,” said Beth Wain Brandon, general Campaign chair. “I look forward to seeing everyone on September 10 as we come together to raise dollars for those who need it most.”

This year, Super Sunday Kickoff attendees will:

  • Join hundreds of community members to raise funds for the Campaign for Jewish Needs
  • Enjoy kosher food, children’s activities, outdoor games, and more
  • Tailgate together for the Cleveland Browns game
  • Volunteer with the Federation’s Jewish Volunteer Network

Super Sunday Kickoff will take place from 10 am to 5 pm on Sunday, September 10 at the Jewish Federation of Cleveland’s Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Building (25701 Science Park Drive in Beachwood). Family activities will begin at 1:30 pm. Attendees can come to the event for a few hours or all day as their schedule allows. Kosher food will be provided.

The 2024 Campaign for Jewish Needs will feature special gift matching opportunities for donors:

  1. “The Mandel Multiplier” – thanks to the generosity of the Jack, Joseph and Mort Mandel Foundation, any renewed gift to the 2024 Campaign for Jewish Needs will be multiplied by 1; any increased gift will be multiplied by 2; and any new gift will be multiplied by 3! To qualify for the Mandel Multiplier, any gift of up to $5,000 must be pledged by October 25, 2023.
  2. “Brunswick Companies BGS Challenge” – For every new Ben-Gurion Society gift of $1,000 or more, Brunswick Companies will donate an additional $1,000 to the 2024 Campaign for Jewish Needs. The Ben-Gurion Society requires a minimum gift of $1,000 made by an individual or couple (ages 22 to 45 years old).
  3. “KeyBank Match” – KeyBank will match all new or increased pledges received during the Super Sunday Kickoff event dollar for dollar.
