As part of the Jewish Federation of Cleveland’s multi-pronged strategy to combat hate, we joined the Foundation to Combat Antisemitism (FCAS) as one of the more than 100 partners – including the League of Women Voters, Urban League, National Governors Association, the Anti-Defamation League and Hillel International – to encourage its supporters to stand up to Jewish hate (#StandUpToJewishHate).

Launched on March 27, this new national campaign is designed to mobilize all Americans, and especially those outside of the Jewish community, by educating them on the role each of us can play in combat rising antisemitism across the country today. Created by New England Patriots Owner Robert K. Kraft and his family, FCAS will be spending $25 million over a six-week period to roll out the campaign across broadcast, social, and digital media; billboards and digital ads; and paid search ads.

Through this campaign, the FCAS will establish 🟦, the blue square emoji already on all smartphones, as a simple but powerful symbol of solidarity and support for the Jewish community. The campaign will also utilize like-minded influencers to help raise awareness on social media feeds.

You can help build momentum for this critical initiative by sharing the posts on Federation’s social media channels, as well as using the hashtag #StandUpToJewishHate and/or using the blue square emoji in your own posts about combating antisemitism.
