Find out how Mike Milgrom of Beachwood is making an IMPACT! by volunteering.

Q - Why is it important for you to volunteer in and around the community?

It is my way of giving back to the community which is there for me and helping those who need it. It’s also important to look for ways I can make use of my professional background in the legal field and my personal passion of speaking Hebrew.

Q - How has the IMPACT! volunteer initiative assisted you in choosing your volunteer options?

IMPACT! connected me with the Legal Aid Clinic Project, which benefits low-income members of the Jewish community. I had the pleasure of helping to organize legal advice clinics through the Legal Aid Society. With the support of the Federation’s Jewish Volunteer Network's IMPACT! program, I also had the opportunity to mentor some of the children in Beit Shean, Israel, Cleveland’s sister city; we were able to spend time and speak together in Hebrew and English.

Q - How do you make an IMPACT! with your volunteering?

I know the Legal Aid Clinic Project does amazing work for the entire community and I am glad to be able to contribute to it. My time in Beit Shean was not only very fulfilling, but it made a profound impact on me. I hope it did the same for the kids I tutored in Hebrew as well as all the people I worked with.
