Meet Our 2018 Summer Interns

The Jewish Federation of Cleveland’s 2018 Summer Interns are here! Get to know this impressive group of college students who will be spending their summer working with Team Federation.

Aaron Dobres

Aaron is a rising junior at The Ohio State University and will be the business continuity planning intern this summer. He is pursuing a major in Accounting and minors in History and Economics. Aaron is actively involved with The Ohio State Hillel, where he works as a development intern and regularly leads Friday night services. He is also a member of the Beta Alpha Psi accounting honorary and the Politics, Society & Law Scholars. Last summer, he was a research intern for Steve Dettelbach's campaign for Ohio Attorney General and a counselor at Mandel JCC J-Day Camp. Aaron is from Solon.

Natanel Esraeilian

Natanel is a rising junior at Yeshiva University and will be our IT intern this summer. He is pursuing a major in Computer Science, with a minor in business. Natanel is currently on the board of the Computer Science Society at Yeshiva University and is looking forward to organizing the university's annual Hackathon in the fall. During the past year, he was a Resident Advisor on campus who worked closely with their Student Life office in developing a more engaging and meaningful Sabbath experience at the University. As a native of Beachwood, Natanel has grown up in the Cleveland Jewish community and he is excited to be a part of the Federation this summer.

Talia Fleshler

Talia is a rising junior at The Ohio State University and will be our Community Planning intern. She is pursuing a major in social work with a minor in non-profit studies and is actively involved in Hillel. Talia recently completed the “Resetting the Table” civil dialogue fellowship where students spoke about the Israeli Palestinian conflict to gain a broader understanding from all perspectives. Before college, Talia took a gap year in Israel. While there she worked with the lone soldier center, where she provided support and services to lone soldiers, and the Jerusalem School, where she taught English as a second language to children from broken homes. Talia is from Cleveland Heights.

Ben Sack

Ben is a rising senior at The Ohio State University and will be our Information Security intern this summer. He is pursuing a double major in Arabic and Political Science with hopes of going to law school. He is an active member of Undergraduate Student Government at Ohio State, serving as the deputy director of Off-Campus Safety. He is also a member of the fraternity, Alpha Epsilon Pi and has served as the Vice President of Buckeyes for Israel, the premiere pro-Israel organization at Ohio State. Ben was the Head Intern for the David Project at Ohio State, as well as part of the National Student Board. Ben is from Orange.

Maya Spector

Maya is a rising senior at The Ohio State University and will be our Young Leadership Division Associate. Maya is majoring in psychology and minoring in Alternative Approaches to Health and Wellness and Judaic Studies. Maya is the membership and programming chair for Buckeyes for Israel, the Onward Israel representative, recruiting students to spend the summer in Israel, and is the StandWithUs Emerson Fellow, helping to bring effective pro-Israel education to OSU students. Maya is also a member of the sorority Alpha Epsilon Phi, and a community service fraternity, Alpha Phi Omega. Last summer, Maya interned in Tel Aviv for a pro-Israel organization through Onward Israel. Maya is from Beachwood.
