Inside a picturesque storefront in Cleveland’s St. Clair neighborhood is the Slovenian Museum and Archives. Small in size, this museum – which is the only one of its kind in the United States – boasts many artifacts from the central European country.

An important new exhibit has opened at the Jewish Federation of Cleveland’s Roe Green Gallery. On November 19, Israeli curator Emma Gashinsky and collection owner Ofer Levin joined nearly 75 Clevelanders in an intimate setting to share the story behind “Israel: Land & Identity,” a historical panorama of 46 works by Israeli artists created between the early 1900s to today.

CLEVELAND – Madeline (Maddie) McCann, 10, of Beachwood has been selected to join the national PJ Our Way Design Team, a prestigious position through the PJ Our Way program that gives young people the opportunity to develop leadership skills, while connecting with other pre-teens across the country.

At this year’s General Assembly, a premiere leadership experience for engaged Federation volunteers and professionals, Federations from across North America shared their programs and innovations that are making their community stronger.

CLEVELAND – On December 16, the Jewish Federation of Cleveland will celebrate the closing of the 2016 Campaign for Jewish Needs, the annual fundraising campaign that ensures our community’s vitality and vibrancy in the year ahead. The Campaign Closing Celebration takes place at 7 p.m. at Executive Caterers at Landerhaven, 6111 Landerhaven Drive in Mayfield Heights.

CLEVELAND, Ohio – "Violins of Hope" is about to get even more interesting. In addition to the ongoing exhibition and concerts that have taken place so far, the project is about to include an appearance by the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, with its longtime director, Zubin Mehta.
