The Jewish Federation of Cleveland announces the opening of “Perspectives in Opposition: Horizons and Quartets,” an exhibit featuring the world of famed Israeli painter, Arie Azene.

Holocaust survivors received free hearing aids at the Jewish Federation of Cleveland’s Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Building in Beachwood on Jan. 25, thanks to a partnership between the nonprofit Hearing Missions Foundation and Jewish Family Service Association of Cleveland.

Through Masa Israel, a program funded through I-Connect, an initiative of the Jewish Federation of Cleveland, young adults like Mara are able to pick their perfect Israel travel experience.

Caring for plants is fun and can be done any time of year. In honor of the Jewish holiday of Tu B’Shevat, the Jewish New Year of the Trees, we offer a few winter, indoor suggestions for nurturing a green thumb in your children.

Tu B’Shevat, or New Year for the Trees, is coming up. Although there's still snow on the ground in some parts of the United States, this holiday marks the start of spring in Israel. One way that some people celebrate is by eating foods from the “Seven Species,” foods that were grown in ancient Israel. The Seven Species are wheat, barley, grapes, figs, pomegranates, olives, and dates.

Daryl and Kerry Kertesz of University Heights are so proud to be a young family in Jewish Cleveland. They love spending time with their two daughters, whether it’s visiting a new museum exhibit or supporting the community at Super Sunday.

We, at Federation, are committed to caring for those in need. And, through the IMPACT! initiative, volunteers ages 50+ can help meet those needs in many different ways. InMotion is a nonprofit center devoted to the health and well-being of those affected by Parkinson’s Disease and other movement disorders.
