Jewish Cleveland knows how to party! 2,000+ Clevelanders joined together for Yom Ha'atzmaut (Israel's 69th Independence Day) with a knockout performance by Israeli superstar Idan Raichel at our largest community-wide event of the year.
In addition to the concert, guests of all ages enjoyed Israeli dancing, klezmer music, shopping at the shuk (Israeli marketplace), delicious kosher foods, arts and crafts for kids, and more! We hosted so many people who felt connected to our community in Cleveland and connected to our "family" in Israel.
And that’s not all: Clevelanders in their 20s and 30s celebrated Israel’s 69th birthday in style with the Blue & White Party where they toasted to Israel with blue and white cocktails, a themed candy bar, Israeli food, and awesome Israeli music.

Young and old alike mixed and mingled with a delegation of Israel Defense Forces (IDF) officers visiting Cleveland. A highlight of the night was when Idan Raichel invited one officer on stage to sing a duet - a moment our community will never forget. Listen to all of Idan Raichel's music here.
Earlier in the week, we remembered those who lost their lives protecting the state of Israel and civilian victims of terror. We paid tribute with music, readings, and a moving candle-lighting and wreath ceremony at our Yom Hazikaron (Israel's Memorial Day) commemoration.
