The Jewish Federation of Cleveland will host its 110th Annual Meeting in celebration of our community’s strength, featuring groundbreaking Israeli author Ari Shavit. All are welcome to join Tuesday, April 8, at 7:30 p.m. at B’nai Jeshurun Congregation, 27501 Fairmount Blvd, Pepper Pike.

A prominent political analyst, Shavit is known for his in-depth interviews and thought-provoking articles with world leaders, including Shimon Peres, Ariel Sharon and Benjamin Netanyahu. In recent years, Shavit has become one of the most influential voices in Israel’s public arena. He will discuss his bestselling book, My Promised Land: The Triumph and Tragedy of Israel.

"As we celebrate our 110th year as a Federation community, may we continue to engage in critical and civil discourse in order to be a source of strength and support for people in Cleveland, Israel and around the world,” said Kyla Epstein Schneider, Event Chair.

Thomas W. Adler and the Greater Cleveland Food Bank will be recognized as the recipients of the 2014 Charles Eisenman Award, the highest civic honor for exceptional community service presented by the Federation.

The event will also feature remarks by Reneé Chelm, Federation Board Chair. She will address the community on the past year’s accomplishments, with an eye toward the future. The election of Federation Trustees will also take place.
