Open Positions
Accounting Manager
The Accounting Manager will play an integral role in the Finance Department of the Federation. This position will be involved with the day-to-day reporting and recording of transactions, reconciliations, and the annual audit, among other things. This position will not immediately supervise other staff but may do so in the future.
This position is full-time and reports to the Managing Director of Finance Operations and Reporting.
Administrative Specialist
The Administrative Specialist provides administrative support for multiple professional staff in family philanthropy, ensuring efficient operation and facilitating seamless communication across departments. This position reports to the Area Coordinator, Development (Family Philanthropy).
Associate, External Affairs
The Associate, External Affairs is responsible for assisting the External Affairs team with strategies stemming from the Community Relations Committee and Government Relations Committee, as well as efforts to combat antisemitism. In this capacity the Associate, External Affairs will be responsible for assisting to work on a broad range of issues and representing the Jewish community to the non-Jewish community.
This position is full-time and reports to the Assistant VP, External Affairs.
Cash Accounting Specialist
Under general supervision, the Cash Accounting Specialist handles various tasks related to donor pledge payments. The primary duties of this position are the payment application to donor pledges, account adjustments, journal entries, and collection reports. This position is responsible for cash application, credit card processing, refunds, lockbox interfaces, daily cash deposits, and other cash duties, and performs special projects as needed.
This position reports to the Managing Director of Finance.
Director, Finance Business Systems
The Jewish Federation is embarking on an exciting multi-year transformation of our entire business enterprise. The Federation’s vision is to reimagine the way we work by streamlining processes and implementing modern technology to support our thriving and growing internal and external communities. To help ensure the success of this transformation, the Federation has created a new position – Director, Finance Business Systems – to support the design, migration, and change enablement efforts of our financial business systems; as well as the ongoing management of the technology stack that powers our robust financial operations. The person in this position will work collaboratively with process and business owners, partners, vendors, leadership, and information technology staff throughout the transformation, and beyond, to help align the new financial systems with the finance department vision.
The Director, Finance Business Systems reports to the Managing Director, Business Systems and plays an important leadership role within the IT department, supporting our business partners with responsibility for the ongoing optimization, analysis, data governance, interoperability, maintenance, administration, support, life-cycle management, and training of the systems that support finance operations. The Director will also oversee administration, improvements, and end user support of a portfolio of financial systems, ensuring they effectively support the Federation’s expansive financial operations.
Security Officer
JFC Security, LLC is looking for a dedicated and caring individual to be part of a growing, community-based security team. In this role, the Security Officer will work to provide a safe environment that is secure from outside threats for social service agencies, synagogues, schools and pre-schools within the Greater Cleveland Jewish Community. The Security Officer is expected to anticipate potential problems and respond to disturbances, prohibited conduct, and emergencies. These duties are performed either while assigned to a Mobile Patrol/Foot Patrol Unit or to a stationary post. This position reports to the Security Officer Supervisor for JFC Security, LLC.
