Accountant

Full-time

This position performs day-to-day accounting and prepares interim and annual financial reports and tax returns for endowment funds, supporting foundations and trusts as well as assists in the daily operation of the Accounting and Finance department. This position is full-time and reports to the Managing Director of Finance.

Associate, Engagement and Planning

Full-time

The Associate, Engagement and Planning is responsible for assessing needs and growing programs that connect young families, college students, and other groups to Jewish Cleveland. This role is responsible for stewarding and engaging young families through PJ Library, guiding college students through the Mandel Myers Fellowship, and managing a portfolio of organizational relationships focusing on experiences that impact young adults in the community.

Key functions of this position include informal and innovative program development, engagement with children, adolescents, and parents with young families, staff supervision, and the maintenance of key relationships with community partners. The ideal candidate for this position is approachable, creative, a self-starter, and passionate about engaging and working with all types of people.

This position is full-time and reports to the Managing Director, Community Planning and Allocations.

Campaign Associate

Full-time

The Campaign Associate will assist the campaign team in the overall planning and execution of the annual Campaign for Jewish Needs. This position will focus on donor stewardship as well as community outreach and engagement. In addition, the Campaign Associate will work as part of the Women in Philanthropy team (WinP), a group within our Campaign focused on engaging women in our community through philanthropy, programming, and leadership development.

This position is full time and reports to the Director, Women in Philanthropy and the Senior Director, Campaign.

Director, Finance Business Systems

The Jewish Federation of Cleveland is embarking on its first multi-year transformation of their financial business systems. To help ensure the success of this transformation, the Federation has created this new position – Director, Finance Business Systems – to support the design, migration, and change enablement efforts; as well as the ongoing management of the technology stack that powers our robust financial operations. The person in this position will work collaboratively with process and business owners, partners, vendors, leadership, and information technology staff throughout the transformation, and beyond, to help align the new core financial system, Oracle Netsuite, and accompanying finance systems with the finance department vision.

The Director, Finance Business Systems – who will report directly to the Managing Director, Business Systems – will play an important leadership role within the IT department, with responsibility for the ongoing optimization, analysis, data governance, interoperability, maintenance, administration, support, life-cycle management, and training of the systems that support finance operations (core Accounting, Endowment Management, Budgeting). The Director will also oversee administration, improvements, and end user support of a portfolio of financial systems, ensuring they effectively support the Federation’s expansive financial operations.

International Experiences Associate

Full-time

The International Experiences Associate is charged with building relationships with Jewish Cleveland college students to connect them to international Jewish experiences, including Birthright Israel and other programs that deepen Jewish connections. The Associate will recruit college students to various program opportunities, and work with area college campus organizations (Hillel and Chabad) to engage in recruitment events, and pre/post program opportunities.

The Associate will be responsible for all efforts to promote, educate, and recruit for a portfolio of international programs and opportunities. The job will focus primarily on building and maintaining relationships with Cleveland Jewish young adults, ages 18-30, and help them navigate the roadmap of Jewish opportunities primarily in Israel and around the world. The position entails leading Birthright trips, and possibly other international programs. As part of the Overseas Department, the Associate will help to deepen engagement of young adults in Jewish life, create greater investment and exploration of their Jewish identity and connection to their global Jewish community, and act as a concierge and liaison to a variety of programs, activities, and events throughout the year.

This position is full-time and reports to the Director, International Experiences.

Manager, Supporting Foundations

Full-time

This position will include two major components:

1. Supporting Foundation Manager: Assisting in the management and stewardship of 10-15 Supporting Foundations, with the expectation that over the next 1 -2 years, s/he moves into the role of primary foundation manager for several of them.

2. Development Officer: Secure campaign, supplemental, and Planned Gifts. Provide donor Stewardship/development for those associated with the foundations as well as others as assigned. This will include all generations of the family as well as individuals not associated with a foundation, addressing each as appropriate for their age, level of involvement, and interests. Stewardship will span varied activities and connections, from exploring grantmaking interest areas, first-time individual gifts to Federation, and through endowment/legacy development. The goal for all being a broader and deeper involvement with Federation and its agencies. This position will include an Annual Campaign assignment.

This position is full-time and reports to the Vice President, Supporting Foundations.

Managing Director, Business Systems

The Federation is embarking on a multi-year transformation of their current business systems. To help ensure the success of this transformation, the Federation has created this new position – Managing Director, Business Systems – to be a key partner to the CIO in executing the organizations technology strategy and guiding the planning, design, migration, vendor/partner management, and change enablement activities. The Managing Director will be expected to work collaboratively with process and business owners, vendors, partners, leadership, and information technology staff throughout the transformation to help ensure the new systems align with the organizational vision, meet business needs, and are implemented successfully.

The Managing Director, Business Systems, reports to the Chief Information Officer and is a senior-level position within the Federation and the IT department. The Managing Director will spearhead our robust and talented business systems teams tasked with the day-to-day administration, architecture, analysis, data governance, support, life-cycle management, development, and training of the enterprise systems that support finance, fundraising (development), digital marketing, and HR. The Managing Director will be accountable for the overall leadership, architecture, implementation, usage, and roadmap of a portfolio of enterprise systems, ensuring they effectively support the Federation’s expansive fundraising and business operations.

Security Officer

JFC Security, LLC is looking for a dedicated and caring individual to be part of a growing, community-based security team. In this role, the Security Officer will work to provide a safe environment that is secure from outside threats for social service agencies, synagogues, schools and pre-schools within the Greater Cleveland Jewish Community. The Security Officer is expected to anticipate potential problems and respond to disturbances, prohibited conduct, and emergencies. These duties are performed either while assigned to a Mobile Patrol/Foot Patrol Unit or to a stationary post. This position reports to the Security Officer Supervisor for JFC Security, LLC.

Senior Manager, International Programs

Full-time

The Senior Manager, International Programs assists in the implementation of the Jewish Federation of Cleveland’s (JFC) direct activities in Israel and overseas and supports the JFC’s efforts to create meaningful connections between Jews in Cleveland and Jews in Israel and overseas. In addition, the Senior Manager actively supports the efforts to identify, educate, and actively engage lay leaders/volunteers to become involved in committees, programs and activities related to the JFC’s direct overseas programs. The Senior Manager will also identify opportunities to bring high level influential speakers and programs to Cleveland to educate our Cleveland Jewish community on Israel. The Senior Manager will also plan programs to illuminate and leverage the work of the International Operations department and the Overseas Connections Committee (OCC) in the community at large.

This position is full-time and reports to the Assistant Vice President of External Affairs.

Senior Manager, Jewish Volunteer Network

The Senior Manager, Jewish Volunteer Network (JVN) is responsible for overseeing all direct-service volunteer programming for the Jewish Federation of Cleveland and aims to be the primary contact for volunteerism in the Jewish community. This position serves as a clearinghouse for a robust variety of meaningful and rewarding volunteer opportunities for individuals, families, teens, and groups that instill our Jewish values. The Senior Manager, JVN works in collaboration with other Jewish Federation of Cleveland staff, partner agencies, and non-profit organizations in Cleveland to develop strong connections, identify needs and offer quality volunteer opportunities that help needy and vulnerable individuals and their families. The Senior Manager, JVN is responsible for understanding the intersection between needs and hands-on opportunities both within the Jewish and general communities, identifying projects, and bringing them to fruition. In addition, the Senior Manager, JVN works with and manages an active volunteer committee to plan and execute projects.

This position is full-time and reports to the Assistant Vice President, External Affairs/International Operations.
